This new clinic reflects Ivy Rehab’s commitment to growth and dedication to serving more individuals in need of exceptional care.
Bethany Cowan, DPT, PT, CMTPT, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Colchester facility.
“I am excited to be bringing the Ivy Rehab family to the amazing community of Colchester,” said Bethany. “I look forward to helping this active community achieve their goals and get back to living their life to the fullest.”
After earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UMass Lowell in 2019, Bethany launched her career with Ivy Rehab in Virginia Beach, VA, where she developed a passion for general orthopedics.
As a former collegiate track athlete, she especially enjoys working with athletes—runners in particular. Bethany is certified in dry needling and vestibular therapy, with a specialized focus on concussion management. While in Virginia, she played an integral role in her clinic’s work conditioning program, an expertise she now brings to Connecticut.
Bethany is dedicated to helping patients return to their prior levels of function using the latest research-backed methods. She strongly believes in the power of education, spending time with patients to explain anatomy, physiology, and what they can expect from physical therapy. Her professional interests include workers’ compensation, sports medicine, and return-to-sport programs.
