Good faith estimates.
Understanding your costs.
Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients without insurance or those not using insurance an estimate of their medical costs. At Ivy, we ensure transparency with your medical expenses.
Your Rights:
- Receive a Good Faith Estimate: You are entitled to a written estimate of the total expected cost for any non-emergency items or services. Request this at least 1 business day before your appointment.
- Request Estimates: You can ask any healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling your service.
- Dispute Excessive Bills: If your bill is at least $400 more than the estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
- Keep Your Records: Save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
