For nearly 30 years, Kids in Motion has been a trusted partner for families, helping children thrive through compassionate, collaborative, and expert therapy services. What began as a labor of love has grown into something truly special— pediatric clinics across northern Detroit that have supported thousands of kids through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, plus unique programs like special groups, school staffing, and community workshops.
Today, we’re excited to share the next chapter in that journey: Kids in Motion is now Ivy Rehab for Kids.
We know that for many families, a name change can bring a wave of emotions. Trust is hard-earned, especially when it comes to your child’s care. That’s why we want to assure you: the therapists you’ve come to know, the high-quality of care your child receives, and the heart behind everything we do—that all stays the same.
What’s changing? More support, more access, and more opportunities.
By joining the Ivy Rehab for Kids family, we’re gaining access to a broader network of talented therapists with diverse specialties. That means even more comprehensive, collaborative care for your child. Our team now has increased access to advanced education and training, giving us more tools to serve your family with the latest, most effective therapy strategies. We’re still local and still community-rooted, but now with even more to offer.
Emily Christensen, MA, CCC-SLP and Regional Director, puts it best:
“Kids in Motion has always been about providing a warm, welcoming environment where kids can flourish and families feel supported. Becoming part of Ivy Rehab for Kids allows our team to keep doing what we love—just with more resources, more connection, and a broader reach. We’re thrilled to continue serving our community with the same passion and commitment under the Ivy name.”
This change reflects a shared vision—to empower kids, support families, and ensure that every child has access to the care they need to thrive. We’re honored to keep walking alongside families in that mission.
