Vestibular Rehab

At Ivy Rehab Network, our physical therapists are specially trained in treating disorders of the vestibular system. Our vestibular rehab program is an exercise-based technique that is designed to decrease dizziness, help improve the ability to steady your vision and retrain parts of your postural control due to vestibular dysfunction. Through vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT), we can help you regain balance and improve your ability to perform daily activities safely.

His expertise, care, and personalized approach made all the difference in my recovery. From the very first session, he listened to my concerns and tailored a plan that worked perfectly for me. Each visit, I left feeling stronger and more confident. Dan’s professionalism and dedication to his patients are unmatched, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of physical therapy. Each and every time, I have had very successful sessions alleviating each and every problem. Karin did a great time evaluating and treating my vertigo, and Nicole, Jen and Vinny did a terrific job with the physical therapy treatment. I highly recommend Ivy Rehab to anyone who needs physical therapy. The staff is great!Response from the ownerThat’s wonderful to hear – thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy – New Hyde Park ★★★★★ I broke my hip on 4/24 and had hip replacement on 4/25. After a few visits I was amazed how fast I got my mobility back. Matt and the crew gave me the exercises I needed to graduate from walker to crutches and then the cane. Its Memorial Day weekend and I’ve started walking without the cane now. He doesn’t push you hard just enough to educate you on what to do to get your injury in the rear view mirror. Super friendly and caring bunch at Ivey, helped me immensely.Response from the ownerWe value your feedback, thank you for your kind words! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, Monroe ★★★★★ When the doctor said PT I groaned since I hated the PT I had in the past. Then I walked into Ivy Rehab and met Matt Fleming. He is so caring and kind as well as a great therapist. I looked forward to each appointment. I would recommend Ivy Rehab in Monroe to everyone.Response from the ownerThat’s wonderful to hear – thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, Monroe ★★★★★ I have had all three PT very qualified therapists work with me over the last several months. They continue to push, reinforce, and challenge me to get better through their guidance. Haley has been my “regular” and I appreciate her knowledge, positivity, and willingness to help me heal.Response from the ownerIt’s great to hear this feedback! Thank you for taking the time to share your review! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, Comstock Park ★★★★★ Cesar and his staff at Excel are professional and friendly. They helped me feel at ease right after the surgery and their attention to detail and information helped me to focus on my recovery process much better. I am glad my friend recommended me to this location, and I highly recommend to those seeking PT for their injuries.Response from the ownerThank you for taking the time to share this review, it means so much! – The team at Excel Physical Therapy, Englewood Cliffs ★★★★★ When you go to a physical therapist after shoulder surgery, you don’t anticipate that your PT will be the best part of your day! Jeff at Excel spends as much time with you as you need! He’s not limited to 5 minutes for insurance purposes. He and Kelly, the other PT, provide empathetic care coupled with intelligence and expertise! There is always a positive energy coming from all of the staff, from the receptionist to the assistants to the physical therapists themselves. It feels more like a family, providing all of the support I could ever need. I highly recommend Excel of Oakland, as they hit every mark of excellence!Response from the ownerThank you for sharing this with us! – The team at Excel Physical Therapy, Oakland ★★★★★ Everyone is great. Kelly helped me build up strength on my right side so when I had my left knee done I’d be able to handle the rehab. Walking is a good thing. Thank you so much.Response from the ownerThank you for sharing this with us! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, King of Prussia ★★★★★ I am very pleased with Ivy Rehab of New Hyde Park. I went there for post-surgical therapy for about five months and had an excellent result. The majority of my sessions were with Noah, who was outstanding. He was genuinely concerned with how I was feeling (before, during, and at the end of each session) and what I could tolerate, while still pushing me to do more and get the best possible outcome. I also worked with Jennifer and Katie – both great too. Everyone in this clinic – the front desk staff, aides, assistants, and therapists – was friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended.Response from the ownerThank you for your kind words; we appreciate your feedback! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, New Hyde Park ★★★★★ My son has been in speech since 11 mo, OT for 1.5yrs, and PT almost 2. We resided appx. An hour from here up until April 2019 moved to Miamisburg. My son is now 3 going on 4 in August and had little progression in speech ( very hard to understand, not many words, mispronouncing, etc.) As well as unable to jump, posture poor, and fatigue extremely easy (hypotonia). Extremely hard to do common task, unable to follow simple directions, sensory issues to the point terrified of a swing or would get car si k on hour plus. Are rides. Again, little progression in any of those 3 areas. When we moved to this area I contacted ABC in Miamisburg and ask all about how to transfer services, etc. Sarah at the desk was very courteous and informative. Made the transition very easy. We were actively pursuing ABA because my son’s aggression was extremely difficult to handle and he was harming himself and others children especially his siblings to the point I contemplated CPS. I was very reluctant to start back into ‘therapies’ because as his mom I had seen no progression at all and felt it was not very beneficial to him. ABA was a nightmare because of insurance, etc so O decided to just go ahead and restart pt,st,and ot here. BEST DECISION EVER!!!We have been coming weekly to st/ot (wait list for pt) and various pt appt since may 2019. My husband and I can not believe the change in our son!!! Even my mother noticed when comes to visit!!!My son now is putting 2 word phrases together, pointing at common objects, can sit still for a few min duration, jumps with both feet, loves to swing, knows colors, can count to 20, and is almost understandable over half the time! His aggression has went to almost nothing (except for sibling spats and normal child related fighting). I am amazed! He also says hello to random people and attempts to socialize!!! I just want to say that it is a day and night difference!!!! The therapist here are very professional, patient, kind, understanding and are willing to educate the patents. They make a very safe and inviting environment for the kids!!!! I wish we would have moved here sooner. At this time we are no longer persuing aba. The ot and slp have helped my son to improve communication to the point his frustration is not there and that in return reduced aggression!!!! RECOMMENDATIONS 100X for this center!!!!!Response from the ownerWe thank you so much for trusting us in the care of your child. Thank you for the review. ★★★★★ I had been dealing with an injury for several weeks that previous doctors couldn’t pinpoint – the therapists at Ivy Rehab were able to figure out the issue and provide treatment that truly helped. I immediately started feeling better. The healing process accelerated dramatically all due to Ivy Rehab. Thanks so much!Response from the ownerThank you for the great review, we really appreciate it! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy – Norfolk – Granby ★★★★★ Aleece Passow, an extremely gifted physical therapist, is knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Aleece treated me for numerous joint and muscle issues, and a labral tear, caused by a series of mishaps, including my car door flying open in the wind. The exercises she prescribed, along with other treatments, resolved my issues and vastly improved my range of motion, overall flexibility and strength. The biggest benefit of working with Aleece was the life-changing education I received on how to correctly use my body. Thanks for everything, Aleece, including your willingness to answer my never-ending questions! Also, my sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of Generation Care, including Kim, Laura and Ashley, who are all very caring and welcoming. ★★★★★ I’ve never had or needed physical therapy before…unfortunately now I do. I am so happy to have been referred to Ivy Rehab in Somerset. The office is great; orderly, spacious & welcoming. Roosha Patel is phenomenal!!! Today 3/15/25 was my 2nd appt and while I know I have other underlying issues being diagnosed, Roosha Patel has helped me greatly in just the 2 sessions that we’ve had. I wish I had done this earlier. She is so easy to talk to and she’s extremely knowledgeable, sympathetic and a true professional. I hope that others find her as fantastic as I do. The rest of the staff, granted I’ve only engaged with two of them, were amicable & professional. I am so happy to be working with Roosha!!! For anyone with any physical discomfort, I highly recommend Ivy Rehab Somerset!Response from the ownerThank you for the fantastic rating, we’re so grateful! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy – Somerset ★★★★★ Great experience rehabing my fractured shoulder. The staff was knowledgeable and compassionate. They made sure at the end of 6 weeks I was clear on follow up therapy while I’m away on vacation for 8 weeks. I really appreciate that. I am able to do everything I did before the break I just need to increase my strength. I highly recommend! The therapists, assistants, and receptionist all worked as a team and had my best interests at heart.Response from the ownerWe’re so thankful for your kind words and positive review! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy – Mount Olive ★★★★★ Aleece Passow is way beyond any other PT I have ever worked with. Her understanding of body mechanics is outstanding. Her observations of your body and why it isn’t working is exemplary. I had emergency back surgery which resulted in the fusion of my back from the S1 through T2. There were 5-years of misdiagnosing before the surgery. Aleece helped me understand what I needed to achieve to undo the 5 years of my body compensating for the issue and how to protect the rest of my back from future injury. I went from not understanding why I needed PT to a believer in the gift a great PT really is. Aleece changed the outlook of my future. And no….that isn’t an overstatement. Aleece is the gem in the medical field that combines a love of the work with an education, a deep sense of how a body works and hands on knowledge you didn’t know existed. And then she teaches you how to heal yourself! Combine her talents with a well supplied clinic with a very nice pool and you will feel better in no time. ★★★★★ this place is great! the atmosphere is uplifting and so is the staff. i have had the pleasure of working with all 3 of the PTs here and each one is knowledgeable, takes the time to listen to your concerns, and tailors an exercise regimen to your meet your specific needs instead of just throwing random things at you. so far im very happy with the progress ive made and i hope to continue that into the new year.Response from the ownerThank you for the great review, we really appreciate it! – The team at Ivy Rehab, Blue Bell! ★★★★★ In March of 2018 I was diagnosed with male breast cancer that has been certified as 9-11 related. On April 17th 2018 I had a double mastectomy to remove the cancerous tumors from my chest. My arms and chest were totally immobile and swollen. As the swelling subsided I desperately wanted to get my range of motion back. I am a triathlete and an avid golfer and bowler. Thinking that I was never going to be able to perform those sports like I did before my surgery was depressing and always in the back of my mind. But instead of waiting around to see how it all turned out I decided to take action.I sought the help of Excel Physical Therapy. They have a great reputation and a local office in my town of Oakland. I met with Jeff Ziegler whom I knew from the Triathlon world in the area. I chose him because he being an athlete understood my concerns. After working with Jeff for about 6 weeks I was able to attend my annual golf trip and play multiple rounds pain free. Not only that but I’m now training for a triathlon and bowling twice a week in my bowling leagues. I even bowled a perfect game in November. Something I thought would never happen again.I can’t thank Jeff and Excel enough for getting me back to my pre surgery days. They truly understand the athlete in every one of us. ★★★★★ Kevin and the staff at Ivy Rehab are the best. I’ve gone there for almost a year and I would not be walking without Kevin. Kevin’s patients matter to him and he does everything he can to get them better. I can’t thank them enough. Thank you! ★★★★★ The Park Sports Team was great in helping me navigate insurance and a treatment plan for my injury. They were very responsive and accommodating when I needed to move appointments around, and never made me feel like it was an issue. Emmanuel at the front desk always got back to me quickly for scheduling and payment options. Megan, my therapist, was very professional and always gave me her full attention, even when the place was busy. She helped get my shoulder back into working order and I’ve got a slew of exercises I can do at home to maintain my new strength. Can’t say enough nice things about the team!Response from the ownerThank you for sharing this with us! – The team at Park Sports Physical Therapy, Brooklyn – Williamsburg ★★★★★ Wonderful therapy experience after my total knee replacement. I had a few set backs and Lori, Dave, Rudy and the team got me right back on track. The care, compassion, and knowledge shown by everyone there is beyond compare.Response from the ownerThank you for taking the time to share this review, it means so much! – The team at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, Barnegat js_loader
