How Can the Breathe Free Program Help With Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

This program helps improve pacing and energy conservation to support daily activity and reduce shortness of breath through the following methods:

A combination of breathing exercises and functional activities, with a focus on pacing and energy conservation. Education may include the use of a device and a structured pulmonary rehabilitation program.
An individualized approach to breathing and activity for those with chronic pulmonary disease, with clinical guidance to maintain fitness and support overall health.

Ivy rehab gave me full range of motion after my knee replacement with gentle, persistant work and encouragement. I am very grateful to Kevin at Ivy and that my orthopedic surgeon specifically recommended them.

When I had neck and shoulder issues I couldn’t find relief. Working with multiple staff at Excel, I found a path to recovery with clear progress. The staff were knowledgeable, caring, and curious. At times they were more insightful than other medical professionals and were willing to give care with a smile.

Great Place to Rehab! From the appointment process to the reception desk and staff, Ivy Rehab at 3509 Granby is a wonderful place! The equipment and facilty is well maintained and clean. So my wonderful physical therapist at Ivy in Lafayette Hill recommended Tyler bc I wasn't getting relief bc my dumb shoulder is apparently just..stubborn. He does dry needling which if you don't know, is sorta like acupuncture but more for, like, targeted pain relief & such. Well, the first day I got it I had to drive to Fort Lee, NJ the next day. Normally, a long car ride would be sooo uncomfortable but I was FINE! Now, I work on my feet, chopping a lot of romaine lettuce and other veg, so I'm irritating the injury, plus my posture sucks and I'm waiting to get a cervical spine MRI.. But the dry needling has really helped. Also he reminds me to keep standing and sitting straight which I need! I slouch BADLY. He's really nice and funny which I guess, as a 40-year-old person, I always worry may not be the case with young people, haha. He really cares about getting you better. He even went to bat for me and called my one doctor to try to get her to order an MRI. He's really great, as are Lily and Kathleen. Neither of them mind that I always have to pee when I get there and before I leave (small bladder, ok?!). I am just really glad I started coming here.

I have gone to Excel several times over the years. I can always count on great treatment from them. My most current route of PT has been with Cosimo Carrieri. I can't say enough nice things about him. He goes that extra step in creating a treatment plan for you. He watches your progress and adjusts your treatment each visit if necessary. He is compassionate, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to provide a suggestion for a second opinion as well as different options for treatment. The assistants that work with him are just as nice. I left with a home program to follow to continue my treatment and told to check in if I needed anything. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Excel for treatment.

I'm writing this for my husband, Bill Rossi. He absolutely loves this physical therapy place. He went to another therapy place and they just didn't compare to PTW. Katie is a wonderful boss, but the entire staff is amazing. They are helping him to get back in shape and get ready to go back to work. He would recommend this place to anyone looking for a well-rounded therapist that will give you exactly what you need. They are simply the best!

My doctor recommended me for physical therapy due to my back injury. When I initially started I didn't think it was going to make any difference but I was wrong! I can see the difference in my posture & when I walk. The exercises helped to strengthen my back & my range of motion has increased. I can tell the difference when I am doing leisure activities. Overall, my quality of life has been improved & I would definitely recommend (name of place). The therapists are professional & kind. My experiences with John Finneran and all of his Physical Therapist are absolutely wonderful. I actually LOVE them all more then family. I’ve been with them many years and would never go to anyone else. If need be when I moved to Florida I will either fly back to Island Park if needed or fly him to Marco Island.
