
Our mission
The mission of the Ivy Rehab Pelvic Health Specialty Program is to foster the professional development of clinicians looking to specialize the area of pelvic therapy. This program will develop these clinicians in communication, evaluation, treatment planning and clinical reasoning by utilizing a comprehensive didactic curriculum based on current best evidence, best practice guidelines, and mentoring to provide advanced level care.
Program description
The Ivy Rehab Pelvic Health Specialty Program is a one-year, clinically based program created to excel the professional development of clinicians in Pelvic Health Therapy. This program will provide a structured curriculum that will enable each participant to complete the education experiences and integrate knowledge to practice in a meaningful way. In addition to the self-guided curriculum, the Pelvic Health Specialty Program will include monthly group meetings and small group mentorship to support advanced knowledge and clinical competence. Each participant is expected to complete all assigned didactic material and achieve clinical milestones for successful completion of the program.

*To ensure the Pelvic Health Specialty program can effectively and sustainably be supported, each cohort requires a minimum number of accepted participants to start a new program year. If the program does not fill a minimum number of seats, acceptances will rollover to the following cohort year.
Curriculum
The Pelvic Health Specialty Program provides structured and consistent didactic curriculum designed for all levels of PTs, PTAs, and OTs to become advanced practitioners in Pelvic Health rehabilitation. The clinical focus of the curriculum will be on clinical reasoning, advancing evaluation and treatment skills while incorporating the most current evidence-based practices, including foundational and advanced coursework. This specialty program also includes support for service line development in the participants clinic. The Pelvic Health Specialty advances participants with valuable mentorship sessions and utilizes a blended model of delivery for educational curriculum that includes online self-study modules, live online learning, journal club and case review, independent study, and in-person courses that are to be completed throughout this comprehensive 12-month program.
