Ivy Rehab for Kids is now open in Champaign, Illinois. Ivy Rehab for Kids provides a wide range of pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy services with highly trained therapists to provide world-class care. This new facility is located at 701 Devonshire Drive, around the corner from Harvest Market. This new facility adds to the Ivy Rehab Network’s growing presence in Central Illinois adding to the existing pediatric presence in the state of Illinois. 

“We are thrilled to open our second central Illinois location, expanding our pediatric care in a much-needed area. Payton Chandler is an excellent clinician who has built an amazing team. We are excited to witness the difference they make in the lives of children and their families,” said Samantha Gorrell, Regional Vice President. “Payton has a great personality, strong listening skills, and the ability to empathize with families. She brings enthusiasm and creativity to all treatment sessions in a play-based model. She utilizes research-based treatment techniques and provides a unique care plan for each patient.”    

Payton Chandler, MS, CCC-SLP, serves as the Clinic Director and Pediatric Speech Therapist at the kids’ facility in Champaign.   

“I’m so excited to bring comprehensive pediatric therapy services to the Champaign-Urbana community and surrounding areas,” said Payton. “I have grown to love Champaign since moving here and look forward to adding more top-notch pediatric therapy to the community. Our clinic thrives on working with kiddos and families to improve their overall quality of life.”  

Payton has continued her education since graduation and has certifications in speech and feeding disorders (SOS, Beckman Oral Motor, PROMPT). She has experience treating children with autism spectrum disorder, apraxia, dysarthria, language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, and feeding disorders. She also has experience providing and treating children with augmentative and alternative communication devices. Payton began her career as a speech-language pathologist in the schools and then transitioned to the pediatric outpatient setting. She has worked at the Ivy Rehab for Kids in Bloomington for two years.   

Payton enjoys spending time with her partner and three dogs outside of work, hiking, and gardening.
